Coinciding with the release of the Apple TV series ‘Masters of the Air’ this tour with the National World War II Museum followed in the footsteps of ‘The Bloody Hundreth’ , the heavy bomber unit that featured in the series.

The series was based on the book of the same name by Don Miller, and Don himself was the expert guide on the tour. We also had Kirk Saduski with us representing the production team that made the series.

They were both able to offer unique insights into the making of the series, and combined with visiting places such as Thorpe Abbots, the made a great team for the guests. My photography from this tour forms the basis of the 2026 Masters of the Air brochure for the museum.
