Attending the WW2 military veterans at the RAF Club on Piccadilly, London was a profound honour, especially knowing that the combined age of those in the room was well over 3,000 years.

Taking time to talk with and photograph these remarkable individuals was deeply moving, each conversation carrying decades of lived history and resilience.

Veterans such as Tom Schaffer of the Parachute Regiment brought an infectious spirit to the event and, as the much loved “poster boy” of the Taxi Charity, embodied the warmth, humour, and camaraderie that made the day so special.
