This was an extraordinary journey to Poland. With Professor Waitman Beorn as our friend and guide, we travelled a thousand kilometres to places of death and inhumanity.
We wanted to understand the scale of the Holocaust, and places such as Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec and Auschwitz became extraordinary photographic subjects.
Traces of Zyklon B showed up in blue through the viewfinder, guard towers made striking and sinister silhouettes, and snow drifted down in Treblinka.
